Summary

As a PMO (Project Management Office) Analyst Apprentice at Flooid you will be provided with the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to become a competent PMO Analyst through involvement in a wide variety of project and change initiatives.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

As a PMO (Project Management Office) Analyst Apprentice, you will support the management of both external and internal projects including the necessary governance and quality and progress reporting. You will also be accountable for the day-to-day analysis of data generated by the Project Management Team.

As your development and role progresses you will provide direct assistance in Agile software development projects across the full project lifecycle gradually increasing in responsibility and accountability. 

At Flooid you will help to deliver new and enhanced versions of the Company’s products in line with the business vision for both internal and external customer delivery programs.  

The Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting and influencing project delivery across Flooid, customers and 3rd parties
  • Ensure all pipeline activities are planned and accurately resourced based on timescales
  • Planning and reporting the effective use of resources to ensure project deadlines are achieved. 
  • Working with senior stakeholders to ensure mitigation plans are in place to report and resolve bottlenecks
  • Anticipating and proactively managing centralised risks, issues and changes ensuring mitigation strategies are clearly communicated
  • Tracking the overall status of project health, including finance and profitability
  • Acting as an effective communicator and collaborator to ensure successful governance and delivery of projects 
  • Evaluating project delivery performance by providing regular feedback and reporting, to maximise both team(s) efficiency and capability
  • Keeping standard reporting template master’s
  • Your responsibilities will gradually increase as you gain knowledge and experience

In time you will: 

  • Support aspects of project development including project governance, development of project plans, resource plans, day to day management of delivery of projects on time, to budget and to customer expectation and satisfaction
    Identifying and removing blockers for the team and ensure they are focused on delivery
  • Supporting with managing internal and external expectations, including supporting reporting on project status to customer and management
  • Helping the project team control financial and administrative aspects of the project  
  • Working closely with other internal teams – including the product management team, the engineering management team, BAs,
  • Project Managers and Product Owners

  • Manage and engage with stakeholders.

  • Resolve conflict as and when required with stakeholders within limits of responsibility.
  • Adapt communications to different stakeholders.
  • Communicate and support the project vision, to ensure buy in to the project objectives.
  • Collate and analyse information and provide input to support negotiations relating to project objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse project budgets.
  • Review and provide feedback on a project business case to ensure the project remains valid.
  • Apply change control processes to support the management of project scope.
  • Evaluate an integrated project management plan to provide recommendations on areas for improvement.
  • Prepare, monitor, and schedule activities that contribute to the delivery of the overall project schedule and objectives.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on the risk management plan to threats to delivery and recommend solutions.
  • Identify and monitor project risks and issues; and plan and implement responses to them.
  • Deliver a Quality Management Plan which contributes to quality control processes.
  • Use an organisation’s continual improvement process including lessons learned to improve performance.
  • Support the preparation or maintenance of a resource management plan for project activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver the project.
  • Use digital tools and software to meet project objectives for example research, collaboration, presentations, and resolution of problems.
  • Provide underpinning data to support the written submission through the governance process.
  • Work within the approved project budget.
  • Ensure that integrated schedules support critical path analysis, interface management, resource forecasting and risk management.
  • Apply relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and ethical guidance where appropriate to their work.
  • Use data to inform decisions on actions to take to mitigate risks on project.
  • Use configuration management and change control to schedule and maintain projects.
  • Manages resources through the project lifecycle.

You will have an assigned Educator from Heart Of England Training who you will meet with frequently via teams.
