About this company
Founded in 1997 Excel is an established family business, that has grown to become the leading UK supplier of internal and external lining materials to the “Offsite and Modern Methods of Construction” sector. This is a very important, vibrant and rapidly growing market sector and one which the Government is increasingly looking to for the provision of its huge infrastructure projects. An example of this is the Department of Education’s £3 billion offsite framework, which will look to deliver primary and secondary schools exclusively through companies that specialise in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). The private sector is also supplied by offsite constructors creating a variety of buildings including hotels, fast food restaurants and office accommodation. More recently an increasing number of residential homes are also being built through MMC with large multi nationals such as Legal and General setting up offsite businesses to help deal with the chronic housing crisis in the UK. With a record £650 billion of public and private sector investment expected to be pumped into infrastructure over the next decade, Excel is expecting to continue its impressive recent growth and is investing heavily in plant, machinery and personnel to remain at the forefront of the sectors expansion.
