Summary

This role would be ideal for someone who either wanted to move into sports coaching/ development with children and young people or who wants to work in education. It will provide a basis for teaching assistant roles and as a route towards teacher training or into other physical activity &/or sport careers.

£11,648 to £20,820.80 a year

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

The role will include;

Assisting with the delivery of physical activity and school sport
Supporting other classes across the school
Organising and delivering activities over the lunchtime and after school periods

Your training plan

Applicants will follow a L3 Teaching Assistant training pathway specialising in PE, sport and physical activity.
Training will be a mix of blended learning; both face to face & virtual. Face to face will be held centrally in Liverpool.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

Maths & English (grade L4 or above)

Desirable qualifications

BTEC or equivalent in:

PE or Leisure (grade Pass)

A Level or equivalent in:

PE or Sports studies (grade Pass)

Other in:

National Governing Body Qualifications (grade Level 1)
National Governing Body Qualifications (grade Level 2)
