Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Your main duties will include:

  • Manufacturing Doors and Windows.
  • Using lean processes to reduce waste and to help the environment.
  • CNC machining programming of the machines.
  • Manufacturing to customer specific specifications.
  • Attaching brackets to the products for bespoke requests.
  • Manufacturing new doors from scratch, creating customer specific orders.

Training will be delivered onsite by time served and skilled employees in all aspects of the role. 

Alongside this the Skills Coach will visit you onsite to deliver ongoing training.

Plus functional skills in maths and english if required.
