Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career within Financial Services. Initially the role will be supporting the business with Financial Services Administration but progression in the future will be available to roles such as Mortgage Adviser and Practice Manager.

£6.81 per hour on a increasing scale with experience built up i.e. review after 6 months.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

As part of the role, you will develop knowledge and skills to become a competent financial services administrator. The tasks to be completed will include the following: 

  • Process applications and paperwork, some of which maybe time critical 
  • Complete quotation for mortgage, protection and other financial products (attention to details is essential) 
  • Respond to in-person and telephone inquiries from customers and advisers 
  • Use Microsoft Office suite 
     
  • Coordinate all administrative functions such as filing, word processing, copying, faxing and mailings 
  • Prepare reports 
  • Take ownership of the tasks assigned 
  • Perform other duties assigned by manager

  • Quality service delivery: Consistently develops and delivers excellent service to customers, colleagues & advisers, supporting the products / services provided and adhering to ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ principles at all times
  • Customer communication & relationships: Develops effective relationships with customers & key contacts, handling & resolving issues through effective verbal/written/IT skills.
  • Team working & collaboration: Understands role within team & impact on others. Consistently endeavours to support colleagues & collaborate to achieve results
  • Planning & prioritising: Consistently adheres to systems & processes using proficient IT skills, including risk, regulatory and governance requirements

Your training plan

As well as on the job training, you will complete a Financial Services Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard. This will include working towards CF1 or R01 via the CII.

  • Financial Services Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • CII CF1 or R01 - Financial Services Regulations & Ethics
  • Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Financial Services Administrators

  • Includes the CII CF1 or R01 digital study book and exam entry
  • Fortnightly workshops for CII exams from our CII approved trainer

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade C/4)
  • Maths (grade C/4)
