Summary
This is a great opportunity to gain an Apprenticeship in manufacturing. This position is based in the quality support team of the lab. The apprentice will help maintain high standards with client care by assessing the different stages of the manufacturing process.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We are looking for someone who is committed, conscientious and with a positive attitude to work. You will be trained on the job and gain experience in monitoring the Quality of Production and Production Processes to assure consistent and quality product is received by customers, meeting the required specification.
- You will also monitor, audit and where necessary implement methods and systems covering Quality, Production, Hygiene, and certain Safety Systems
The skills you will develop and apply include:
- Carrying out all designated laboratory tests to support production processes and QC testing the product to determine it meets the required specification
- Liaising with different Departments on Quality matters and providing relevant information efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records of all test results for effective quality control and auditing purposes
- Observing the performance of test equipment and carry out calibration checks to identify when equipment needs maintenance or calibration
- Observing the performance of inline monitoring systems, such as consistency meters
- Completing departmental Audits and corrective actions.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade C/ 4 or above)
- Maths (grade C/ 4 or above)
