Summary

As a Content Creator, you will plan, produce, and deliver compelling, on-brand content that aligns with our brand values and with our target audience. Your work will help enhance engagement and drive brand success across multiple digital platforms. This role requires creative thinking, adaptability, and an analytical approach to content strategy.

WCF is a Real Living Wage employer. Hourly rate from 1 January 2025 will be £12.60.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Take an organised, methodical approach to content planning, considering the big picture when developing campaigns.
  • Managing time efficiently to deliver high-quality content within deadlines, adapting to shifting customer needs and commercial pressures.
  • Carefully applying GDPR and copyright guidelines to ensure all content is compliant, accurate, and ethically sourced.
  • Interpreting data to guide content strategies and optimise campaign effectiveness.
  • Tracking KPIs and continuously evaluates campaign performance to adapt strategies, enhance engagement, and achieve measurable success.
  • Understanding and respecting brand values, ensuring content creation aligns with the company’s image and goals.
  • Paying attention to detail in maintaining tone, style, and brand personality across all content types, fostering a cohesive brand voice.
  • Showing curiosity and adaptability in learning about generative AI, understanding its role in enhancing content creation and efficiency.
  • Applying AI tools thoughtfully to automate routine tasks, analyse data, and personalize content, aligning with campaign goals and brand values.

  • Develop accessible written content for different platforms and devices.
  • Apply best practice and inclusive language when creating content.
  • Write and edit copy or scripts for use on different channels and platforms.
  • Create or capture visuals and audio using standard packages and equipment.
  • Source, obtain and prepare media assets for use; using industry standard packages to adapt and edit content.
  • Use industry standard tools and content management systems to organise, structure and label content effectively, methodically and securely enabling efficient search and retrieval.
  • Identify and recommend the platform/s or channel/s to use for the media campaign.
