We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the refurbishment industry and gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced professionals.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Assist with various refurbishment tasks, including a multitude of different tech items, including laptops, desktops, and components. Dealing with suppliers unit’s and customer items
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Participate in training sessions to develop your skills
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Receive products in line with organisational procedures.
  • Store and pick products in line with organisational procedures.
  • Dispatch products in line with organisational procedures.
  • Decant, pack products in line with organisational procedures.
  • Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
  • Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
  • Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
  • Carry out and record learning and development activities.

Your training plan

  • You will be working towards a Level 2 qualification in Supply Chain Warehouse Operations
  • Your attendance will be in college one day a month over the full period of the apprenticeship
  • The final year will involve completion of a portfolio and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA). This measures the skills, knowledge and behaviours outlined in the standard and is carried out by ESFA approved organisations independent from the college
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this prior to taking the End Point Assessment

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4 or above)
  • Maths (grade 4 or above)
  • Science (grade 4 or above)
