Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Role Accountabilities
- Attention to Detail: Carefully review large sets of data to ensure everything is accurate
- Data Quality Checks: Use our internal systems to verify data quality and make sure it matches the Market Reform Contract (MRC/Slip)
- Error Resolution: Spot and fix any mistakes in the data, following our team’s guidelines and keeping within our service level agreements (SLAs)
- Project Support: Work closely with the Head of BDX Management on various projects and tasks as needed
- Team Assistance: Assist other members of the BDX Team and the wider Operations Team
- Collaboration: Work with Underwriting Teams to provide insights on current or new data sets
- Additional Duties: Take on any other tasks as assigned

- Identify potential claims fraud and determine the correct action to prevent loss.
- Manage insurance claims and/or payments within the limits of responsibility in line with policies and procedures.
- Identify and manage insurance risks within the limits of responsibility in line with policies and procedures.
- Recommend insurance and premiums decisions within the limits of responsibility and in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Gather and interpret relevant information to provide a return on insurance decisions.
- Match client’s needs with available insurance products and services.
- Optimises the potential return on insurance decisions within the scope of own role by identifying and positioning the client’s case with the insurer.

The successful candidate will complete a level 3 Insurance Practitioner apprenticeship.

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- Maths (grade 4-9)
- English (grade 4-9)
