Summary

Start a career as a solar roofer in the growing Renewable Energy sector with a rapidly expanding company in Long Eaton Nottingham. Start as an apprentice to learn the ropes and receive relevant training, and go on to lead your own teams within the company. We are a family business looking for great people to join and stay with LJM Solutions Ltd.

£12,313.60 a year

Nights out expenses and subsistence paid, plus bonuses. Starting salary reviewed regularly throughout the traineeship. Full industry competitive salary and full-time position given at the end of the apprenticeship.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Based out of Long Eaton, Nottingham

Load the vans early morning with relevant materials for the days solar installations 

Travel to installation site (Could be anywhere within 100 mile radius of Nottingham and may include expense covered nights out)

Complete pre-installation site inspections, risk assessments and health and safety checks. - You will receive on the job training for all of these aspects. 

Carry out the installations

Provide customer service explaining how the system works 

Clear up and move on to the next job.

You will always work as part of a team.

Driving licence preferred but not essential.

Attention to detail and making health and safety a priority

Working towards a Level 2 Roofer apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required. Training will be provided on the job and/or in the Long Eaton base by a reputable training provider. 

Your will learn about how to install solar panels and associated products, and about the different roof types.
