Penhellis run Saturday to Friday, each day has a shift pattern of 7am until 2pm and 3 until 10pm.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Service users with washing, dressing, applying creams.
- Assisting with oral and personal care and toileting where necessary.
- Preparing food and drink and assisting with mealtimes.
- Light domestic duties within the household.
- Social interaction.

Either Penzance, Hayle, St Ives, Helston, Falmouth Truro or Camborne.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Apprenticeship Standard is Level 2 Adult Care worker.
You will be required to attend St Austell College a day a week as part of your apprenticeship training. You will receive on and off-the-job training and support from an assessor and an Apprenticeship advisor.

- Maths (grade 3/D)

After this apprenticeship
Once qualified Penhellis Community care can offer a full-time role to applicants with the opportunity to progress to either a Key or Senior worker.
