Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team. You will work with the Marketing Assistant to produce engaging and high-quality content that highlights our projects, services, and company culture. This is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience in content creation and digital marketing within the landscaping industry.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Assist in the development of engaging content for various platforms including social media, website, blogs, newsletter and company documents
- Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics for promotional materials, social media and our website
- Copywriting: Write informative copy that aligns with our brand voice and is suitable for our target audience
- Collaboration: Work with the marketing assistant to brainstorm and execute ideas for campaigns
- Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience preferences to inform content strategy.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be confident, ambitious and keen to learn
- Have an interest in horticulture or landscaping
- Possess a strong creative flair with an interest in creating visually engaging content
- Be self-motivated – have strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Have an understanding of various social media platforms
- Have excellent written and communication skills
- Have good IT skills and have previous experience with Canva and Adobe (InDesign and Photoshop).

- Research ideas and concepts to meet the brief.
- Evaluate brand requirements and brand guidelines.
- Prepare a mood board or other visual aid for the content to be created.
- Present ideas, pitches and proposals for creative content to be further developed.
- Storyboard and outline script their ideas for content to be developed.
- Interpret data, consider its integrity and use it to inform content.
- Develop accessible written content for different platforms and devices.
- Apply best practice and inclusive language when creating content.
- Write and edit copy or scripts for use on different channels and platforms.
- Create or capture visuals and audio using standard packages and equipment.
- Source, obtain and prepare media assets for use; using industry standard packages to adapt and edit content.
- Use industry standard tools and content management systems to organise, structure and label content effectively, methodically and securely enabling efficient search and retrieval.
- Identify and recommend the platform/s or channel/s to use for the media campaign.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers, establishing and using professional contacts.
- Engage and respond with audiences through social media, adapting content to respond to evolving circumstances.
- Monitor user experience to ensure content is focused on maximising engagement.
- Analyse the differences between audiences using audience segmentation techniques and data.
- Use lessons learned to evaluate the success of the content and identify areas for improvement for future campaigns.
- Use continuing professional development planning to support own current and future training and development needs.
- Operate effectively within the production workflow to meet production timelines.

Your training plan
- The successful apprentice will complete a full ‘Level 3 Content Creator Apprenticeship Standard’ qualification
- The training will be delivered by Birmingham Metropolitan College at our James Watt Campus on a day release delivery model
