A unique Apprentice Chef opportunity has come up at the family-owned Pottergate Golf Club. You'll work closely with our experienced Chef to create exceptional dining experiences for our valued members. Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Assist the main chef in food preparation, cooking and presentation according to club standards and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies and ingredients
- Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities as directed by the main chef or management

The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Production Chef Level 2.
A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course. This is a predominately work-based programme with college attendance required once a month. All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/college and within their contracted working hours.
