Velocity Academy have an exciting new opportunity for a Network Engineer with H20 IT, also known as H20 Networks, an IT Managed Service Provider based in North London, Edgware, Middlesex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get themselves into Networking and kickstart a career.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Work on the IT Service Desk
- Respond to ticketing system
- Troubleshooting
- Configure networks
- Network cabling - Cat5 and Cat 6
- Connect computer network devices such as modems, routers, computers, servers and switches
- Go out to client sites working on technical issues, providing IT and Network support
- Look at hardware errors adding ram, hard drives - upgrading Windows OS
- Setting up routers
- Provide excellent customer service

Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Network Engineer qualification, with training in how to:
- Install, configure, and test appropriate network components or devices securely to well-defined specifications whether physical or virtual
- Optimise and maintain the performance of network systems or services in line with well-defined specification whether physical or virtual
- Investigate and problem solve to address technical performance issues in networks to return the network to successful operation and escalate as necessary
- Consider the impact and risks when implementing network changes in line with work activities and escalating as required by organisational policies
- Communicate technical network requirements effectively and professionally with a range of stakeholders ensuring stakeholder relationships are maintained
