Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
CNC Competency Development - Achieve competency as a CNC operator, including programming and basic maintenance.
5S and Lean Manufacturing - Engage directly with 5S principles, performing regular audits to drive workplace improvements.
Continuous Improvement Projects - Participate in small-scale improvement projects for hands-on learning and practical application.
CNC Operations Streamlining - Assist in optimizing CNC processes to support Roann’s modernization goals.
Advanced Skills Training - Receive training in cutting and polishing quartz stone, building on CNC expertise

Working towards a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship standard. 4 day working week on site, 1 day per week at Print Works Campus / Leeds City College. Apprenticeship hours are 37-40 weekly (TBC).
