Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Ensure fleet compliance records and workshop reports are completed correctly in date and efficiently retained
- Repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions
- Ensure vehicles comply with statutory legislation
- Ensure brand image is of high standard, that vehicles are clean and well maintained
- Troubleshoot breakdowns
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Contain costs
- Evaluate service and parts options
- Ensure facilities are secure and clean
- Learn all aspects of heavy goods vehicle repair
