Summary
As a Health Care Navigator / Admin Assistant Apprentice at Wolseley Medical Centre, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff to coordinate and facilitate an effective communication link with patients and carers, to enable appropriate and timely responses to both urgent and non urgent health care needs.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Predominantly respond to telephone and online requests.
- Booking, cancelling and amending appointments.
- Signposting patients to the most appropriate help available
- Receiving, recording and passing on accurate messages for fellow colleagues
- Performing reception duties
- Booking appointments
- Dealing with patients both face-to-face and on the telephone
- Record accurate and sensitive information
- Accurate processing of repeat prescription procedure

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration consisting of:
- Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics (if applicable)
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English (if applicable)
You will be required to attend a half-day session with HBTC where you will work towards any functional skills (where needed) that you have to take. Additional off the job training will also be required as part of the Apprenticeship. There will also be an end point assessment.
