Summary

Daily duties will consist of loading tools and materials to work place, working as a team with the tasks that occur for specific job, remove rubbish and keep a clean and safe workplace. You will also learn how a good flat roofing installation is achieved from start to finish, considering all aspects of the job and including health and safety.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Load materials and tools via hoist
  • Set up tools and materials
  • Transport old roof materials to skip with wheelbarrow
  • Empty to skip
  • Clean work area
  • Help reinstall new roof coverings
  • Consider Health and safety at all times
