Summary

This role ensures that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost within high value manufacturing environments. Activities will include installation, testing, fault finding and the ongoing planned maintenance of complex automated equipment.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Your training plan

  • Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship is typically a 42-month programme. The first ten months is spent in the Training Centre following various aspects of Engineering Skills to Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) followed by Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) in the employer’s premises
  • The Technical Certificate aspect of the programme is a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

Desirable qualifications

  • Science (grade 4)
