Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Telephone & video screening job seekers, assessing levels of ‘marketability’
  • Managing interview diary through outlook
  • Obtaining referrals and gathering leads
  • Conducting market research and gathering intelligence on talent movement within market sector
  • Keep up to date social media channels - participate in marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Updating company CRM system
  • Ensuring all compliance documents are held
  • Liaising with Recruitment Consultants and customers at all levels
  • Advertising job roles via the web and updating regularly
  • Handling advert response
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of long-term internal and external business relationships
  • Preparing & updating CVs, writing profiles, adding in relevant information
  • Understanding job brief from consultants
  • Responding to emails and telephone calls
  • Attend regular meetings and training sessions as required

Course contents
  • Research, identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements. This may include identifying labour market shortages and the demand for those with transferrable skills with the capacity to move from the legacy carbon economy into a green economy job.
  • Write, place and update adverts in line with company procedures
  • Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
  • Qualify, shortlist and present suitable candidates against defined job vacancies
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with the candidates and internal teams
  • Initiate, manage and develop candidate relationships
  • Identify and progress leads as required
  • Contribute to the development of a recruitment resourcing plan
  • Proactively and consistently strive to identify new candidate and client opportunities
  • Provide first line support for all enquiries
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Provide support to ensure that the candidates and clients receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service at all times
  • Seek and provide feedback in a professional manner at all times to candidates
  • Accurately record candidate and client information on the recruitment database
  • Utilise database information in line with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Escalate non-compliance where appropriate
  • Meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (e.g. interviews arranged, candidates sourced etc)

    Recruitment Resourcer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard: 

    To successfully complete this apprenticeship the learner will need to complete one level 2 knowledge qualification and one level 2 competency qualification as listed below: 

    Knowledge: 

    • Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing
    • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing
    • Functional skills if required

    Requirements

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE or equivalent in:

    • English and maths (grade C (4) or above.)

    After this apprenticeship

    • A full time and permanent role is expected on completion
    • The apprentice may wish to take the Level 3 Recruitment Consultant NVQ afterwards, Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Recruitment, Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Recruitment
