Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will be trained to install & maintain Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm systems.
This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone with a passion for engineering. Duties include:
- installing, servicing & maintaining appropriate equipment
- adhering to safe working practices & able to take instruction
- using power tools, lifting, carrying & climbing ladders, providing excellent customer service.

Your training plan
The successful candidates will be fully supported by a workplace mentor while undertaking the Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship lasts 3 years and takes place at Banham Academy in Earlsfield, London.
Training is delivered via block release with each block lasting 5 days. There are fifteen blocks in all.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4/C or above)
- Maths (grade 4/C or above)
