Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a competent riding apprentice at Reybridge Eventing for a Level 2 Equine Groom. Wage starting at apprenticeship minimum wage, however this may be increased in line with prior experience.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
This role will suit a competitive rider who wishes to take advantage of riding many different types of horses - both on the flat and over fences. Training for both will be given, along with help with your own horse if applicable.
They value enthusiasm along with a sense of "can-do" while at work. They will need help with travelling to competitions etc if needed - there is also the possibility of European travel!
On a daily basis, you will be required to;
- Mucking out
- Turning horses in and out
- Grooming
- Preparing horses for exercise
- Cleaning tack
- Keeping the yard tidy

You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship.
All training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours. Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Other requirements
This role will require working outdoors in all weathers so any applicant must be comfortable in doing so. There is accommodation available and livery for your own horse should you require it. The employer are looking to take on a competent rider.
About this company
David’s eventing career started in the Avon Vale Pony Club, where he was a regular on all the teams at championship level. He moved up the ranks through Juniors and Young Riders, winning team Gold, Silver, Bronze and an individual Bronze. In 2014 he made his Senior Nations Cup debut and was awarded the Goldman Cup for best Under 21 rider of the season. He rode his first 5* at Pau in 2018 and has been consistently competing at the level ever since. 2022 saw him riding at his first Badminton on Galileo Nieuwmoed resulting in a fantastic 6th place, followed by 4th at Pau 2022. 2023 has seen no shortage of excellent 5* results too, with 8th at Kentucky and 2nd at Defender Burghley.

Whilst you work towards your apprenticeshp, you could also complete your BHS assessments along with riding/competing.
Fior the right candidate, you could progress onto the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship.
