Summary
Blackpool Sands are a new and upcoming restaurant looking for a Commis Chef Apprentice. We are looking for someone who can deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Maintain excellent standards of personal, food and kitchen hygiene
- Ensure compliance with procedures, menu specifications and recipes
- Produce food meeting portion controls and budgetary constraints
- Communicate internally and externally with customers and colleagues
- General customer service duties including cash handling

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

- As an apprentice you will attend City College Plymouth once a week
- On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a Commis Chef Level 2 qualification
- Functional skills in maths and English (if required)

GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)

- A full-time position will be offered for the right candidate at Blackpool Sands after completion of the apprenticeship, as well as a further training route if desired
