Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As a painting and decorating apprentice your daily duties will involve:
- Assisting with quoting for jobs
- Preparing surfaces for paint
- Carrying out paint repairs
- Mixing paint
- Carrying out decorating services to internal and external surfaces
- Glossing
- Colour matching

- maths (grade Grade 4 or above)
