Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and customer focused individual with a passion for networking and infrastructure, to work in a well-established, vibrant company offering opportunities for growth and development. The role is for a networking apprentice, that wishes to learn to install cabled and Wi-Fi networks across large sites and be a part of an established team with years of experience.
Duties will include:
- Log and resolve client issues, visit clients onsite to carry out range of IT support
- Provide technical support to clients and enable them to make full use of the services they offer
- Record and resolve faults wherever possible
- Undertake minor repairs to computers and accessories as appropriate
- Install new computer equipment and services, software, hardware and upgrades

IT Solutions Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
The Level 3 IT Solutions Technician programme is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to develop, implement and maintain complete IT solutions, including their hardware infrastructure. IT Solutions Technicians apply a professional methodology or framework to gather and analyse the requirements in order to design, develop, test and implement the most appropriate IT solutions.
This programme offers two pathways that provide the underpinning knowledge and skills in either a Hardware Solutions role or a Software Solutions role.
Modules:
- BCS Level 3 IT Solutions Technician - Methodologies and Principles
- BCS Level 3 IT Solutions Technician - Core Technical IT Knowledge
- BCS Level 3 IT Solutions Technician - Security and Legislation

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade C/4 or above)
- Maths (grade C/4 or above)
