B G Solicitors are looking for a dynamic, adaptable and self-motivated individual to join their team as an Administration Apprentice. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be required to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining professional at all times.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Shared Duties
- Responsible for the safety of yourself, and others
- Ensuring that there is an open and inclusive environment within BG
- To be supportive to all fellow colleagues and always speak in good faith
- Complete all training set by BG and to remain up to date with qualifications for own job role
- To support and work towards the business objectives and budgets
- To ensure confidentiality and security of all practice and client's documentation and/or information and to report any GDPR breaches without delay
- To assist team members with their work, particularly during holidays and absence periods and lunch breaks
- Report any suspicious activity to our MLO without delay
- And any such other task which may reasonably be required
Principle duties, tasks and responsibilities
- Speaking to clients on the phone, in person and via email
- Being the first point of contact for clients
- Giving out quotes to Conveyancing clients
- Maintaining an efficient filing system
- Setting up new files accurately and speedily on instructions from the fee earner
- Dealing with clients and outside organisations on the telephone and in the office, taking the correct details and gaining identification where applicable
- Photocopying, filing and shredding
- Diary management, ensuring fee earners have sufficient time for preparation and to discuss any other requirements that they may have
- Dealing with post, franking, scanning and adding to files where applicable
- Assisting in the completion of file reviews
- Taking and receiving client payments

Your training plan
As part of the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, you will learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours which will support you for your end-point assessment. You will take part in a combination of activities, such as face-to-face classroom-based sessions, remote learning sessions, work shadowing and online learning, to support your learning and development and compile a portfolio of evidence.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake training sessions with Avant Skills Academy every other week throughout the length of the apprenticeship. If you have not achieved a GCSE grade 4 (C) in English and maths, you will be required to complete Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths.
Off-the-job-training:
Apprenticeships are about upskilling and reaching occupational competency takes time. Many employers and apprentices have praised the positive effect off-the-job training have on their productivity and apprentices feel valued by the significant investment in their training.
All off-the-job training must be relevant to the Apprenticeship Standard being undertaken. Your off-the-job training will be agreed upon with your employer and Avant before you commence your programme
End-Point Assessment (EPA):
At the end of the on-programme learning, you will be required to undertake an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to demonstrate you have met the occupational standard.

GCSE in:
