Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include:
- Preparation of materials
- Preparation of site
- Learn and action bricklaying techniques
- Interpret drawings for masonry structures
- Using all appropriate tools, power tools, trowels, brick hammers, levels and gauges
- Setting out
- Follow health and safety procedures
- Brick laying and learning angles
- You will be trained in all aspects of brickwork and learn about the requirements of each contract that the company works on. You will be mentored by an experienced brick worker
