Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Help to lead digitilisation topics in industrial product design and development, including real time low level embedded software, micro controllers, operating systems and processors.
  • Support application and mobile platform development.
  • Digital electronics & programming and scripting using languages such as c, c++, java, .NET, html etc.)

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Whilst working towards a formal qualification you will also work as part of a team on real life projects within the workplace.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • 5x including Science and English Language (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 5)
  • Suitable subjects e.g. Maths and Physics (grade C)
