Summary

Based within the Ecclesfield area of Sheffield (S35 9WA). We are looking for an individual who would like to begin their career in accounts alongside general office administration. We are a busy office, consisting of a team of 4, who are the hub for accounts and administration support for CTL Seal Ltd and 4 other partner companies.

Annual wage
£14,820 a year

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

This will be of interest to you if you are someone who is prepared to work hard as part of the team, enjoys being busy, willing to learn and contribute ideas/suggestions. 

A varied role - initial responsibilities will be:

  • Using finance packages- Pegasus Opera 3 , Sage50 Professional and also a Manufacturing Package - Emax.
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Recharges - intercompany
  • Delivery line reports
  • Time sheet entry
  • Petty cash
  • Journal entries
  • Telephone & Reception duties
  • Interaction with departments - visitors - contractors
  • Filing - Photocopying - ad hoc

Course contents
  • Record transactional data.
  • Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
