Castle Eden Inn are offering an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Commis Chef Apprentice. In the level 2 Commis Chef role, you will learn a range of new skills, which will expand on your knowledge and experience of kitchen services.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Food preparation
- Cleaning and hygiene
- Delivery management, including stock rotation
- Production of menu’s
- As you develop through your apprenticeship you will become confident and efficient in:
- Preparing? and cooking? food to high standards and quality
- Adhering to legislative framework? in respect to the preparation, cooking and storage of food items?
- Completing food safety documentation
- Managing stock
- Cleaning and maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
- Operating specialist kitchen equipment
- Liaising with other team members
- Reviewing and developing menus
- Adhering to organisational brand, standards and recipe specifications including portion control and waste management
