Summary
Seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Manager Job Type: Full-time - minimum 32 hours plus two sleep ins per week. Pay £12.50 - £14.00 PH Location RM7 0EP Must have Level 4 Children Young People and Families Practitioner. Duties include: efficiently managing and operating the service in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, and policies.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Efficiently manage and operate the service in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, and policies
- Keep up-to-date with all new Legislation, Regulations, and responsible authority guidelines, ensuring effective communication with staff
- Ensure company culture and values are maintained and reinforced
- Amend home policies and procedures as required by changes in legislation / regulations / guidelines
- Facilitate robust matching and admissions processes with support from the operations team
- Ensure high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, and comfortable accommodation for children
- Promote partnership working with families, staff, local authorities, and other agencies to safeguard and promote children's welfare
- Oversee information recording and communication with internal staff and external agencies while maintaining confidentiality
- Arrange planned maintenance, servicing, and repair of installations, equipment, and appliances
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular audits
- Monitor children's assessments and plans, delegating tasks as necessary
- Conduct standardisation activities with staff to ensure information recording standards are met
- Provide effective management oversight of incidents and use of restraint, ensuring timely debriefs
- Maintain regular communication with placing authority and promote equality and diversity policies
- Set, monitor, and evaluate standards of individual and team performance
- Review home budget expenditure and monitor resource usage efficiency
- Validate employee timesheets and manage rota effectively
Prepare for regulatory inspections and reports, including Ofsted visits and internal assessments - Inspect building conditions regularly and manage rota effectively
Work compassionately and efficiently with children with emotional and behavioral difficulties - Ensure children's needs are met and support their development towards independent living
- Strive for Good / Outstanding ratings in line with relevant standards
- Develop a confident, competent, and consistent staff team
- Provide leadership and guidance, ensuring effective workload management
- Allocate and monitor staff training and development
- Conduct regular supervision sessions and emphasise safeguarding procedures
- Set and review targets and objectives for staff
- Participate in recruitment, grievance, disciplinary, and health and safety matters
- Lead On-call duties and responsibilities as per rota and policy
- Develop effective communication strategies and systems for staff

This Level 5 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner apprenticeship training programme develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work with children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes and sustainable change in their everyday lives over the course of 18 months.
- You will study elements such as child development, safeguarding, multi-agency working, health, wellbeing and resilience, assessment and planning, theory and legislation, equality and diversity, complex disabilities and conditions and the educational requirements of children / young people in residential childcare
- At the end of this training programme, you will be also be awarded a TQUK Diploma in Residential Childcare
