Provide a comprehensive support service to the Business Manager in respect of financial administration in line with the Finance Policy, Scheme of Delegation & The Education Funding Agency Handbook. Similarly with the Office Manager with respect to Arbor (MIS), reception duties, Online learning resources administration & general admin duties.

Please note that this is a term time only role (39 weeks per year including 5 staff development days) so you will receive a pro-rata amount of the advertised annual salary, that will include payment in lieu of 5.6 weeks annual leave.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Maintain financial accounts, including ordering and payment of invoices, ensuring that the expenditure is appropriately sanctioned
- Follow up any queries relating to orders and invoices
- Maintain school asset register and list of loaned equipment
- Carry out all financial and administrative duties relating to the private use of the school facilities
- Maintain financial records for submission to the EFA
- Maintain general administrative filing and paper and computer-based records to ensure that information can be extracted easily when required
- Provide data or information for reports or returns and for school or outside bodies as requested
- Manage Arbor (MIS), data, parent consultations, reports, school dinner set-up, census, parent portal, new school year set up
- Manage absence line answer phone
- Online learning subscription administration
- Website maintenance & Newsletter
- Arrange hospitality to visitors.
- Contribute to the achievement of and help to maintain the school mission, aims and values
- Contribute ideas, opinions, and evaluations to support the preparation of the school improvement plan
- Attend staff meetings, development days and team meetings as directed
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably assigned by the head teacher

Willing to learn new skills and work with a friendly and professional team.
