Summary

ALM Wholesale Limited recycle, test and data wipe electronics such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets in a warehouse environment. They are currently looking for a Warehouse apprentice to join and learn within their team.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

The role will require the individual to:

  • Pick and pack items
  • Test items using our inbuilt app that governs the tester so only basic training is required
  • Basic repairs/upgrades can be achieved if the appreciation excels
  • eBay listing for items to sell
  • Collection & decommissioning of customers items off site
  • Day to day contacts will be Jack & Anthony
  • You will be part of the processing team

  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

  • The learner will be studying the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
  • Day release to West Suffolk College

ALM Wholesale is located in Haverhill Suffolk. A building of 3000sq ft, with 2 offices and a warehouse, specialising in the wholesale, refurbishment and recycling of used electronics. We recycle, test and data wipe electronics such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets in a warehouse environment. We also do decommissioning and collecting electronics in various locations nationwide for small to large sized companies.

After this apprenticeship

The team is small but constantly growing as new contracts come in so roles in Supervisor and Management positions can be possible.

Opportunities in Sales can also become available once the apprentice has a good understanding of how the company works and what we do.
