You will work alongside our skilled chefs to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for students, staff, and special events, learning essential skills in food preparation, kitchen management, and culinary creativity.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Report to the Head Chef, to support the catering team in delivering the day-to-day food offer and all associated responsibilities across multiple outlets, to the highest standards as required by Sodexo and client contracts
- Be highly motivated and passionate about food - quick to learn and focused on personal development and growth
- Adhere to company procedures in regard to temperature checks, food labelling and dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times and ensure that all records of such are kept.
- Ensure you maintain a clean, hygienic, tidy and safe work environment at all times
- Fully support the team in all areas of the kitchen and outlets as required
- Ensure safe production of food within the kitchens
- Undertake training and development relevant to the role
- Work on special functions which may sometimes be outside of normal working hours at evenings and weekends
Training:
- Participate in relevant training courses and apprenticeship programmes
- Support and assist in the preparation and delivery of inhouse training programmes
