Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We are looking for a Marketing Apprentice whose role will involve the implementation of an overall marketing strategy. The strategy focuses mainly on learner enrolments and raising the profile. The successful candidate will join an active and successful, well supported team and must be prepared to work flexibly and travel between the two branches based in Leicester.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will undertake a variety of marketing and administrative tasks.
- Running marketing campaigns to promote our services to new and existing customers using email software, the company website & social media
- Maintaining and adding enquiries and learners’ records to the customer database and follow-up
- Creating and updating website content- news articles, new products, videos, twitter feed, generating followers, getting content onto social media, SEO, website updates, new images
- Organising aspects of trade shows, literature design and samples in line with active sales campaigns
- Monitoring E-commerce website and improve or notify any issues
- Develop the digital marketing activities - email, social, blogs, graphic designs, ads, keyword ranking and google analytics
- Respond to all first-line inquiries by telephone, face to face and social media messages and convert enquiries into enrolments
- You need to be able to think out of the box and bring new ideas to improve sales conversion rates
- Approaching local business and organisations to look for business opportunities
- Planning marketing strategies and campaigns to achieve monthly enrolment targets
- Day to day admin and sales duties

- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
- Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
- Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Your training plan
The structured part of your apprenticeship training will be provided by JBC Skills Training, we are a specialist technical IT training provider.
You will also learn on-the-job, working alongside experienced colleagues.
Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Standard:
MODULE 1
MARKETING CAMPAIGNS
In this module, we deliver the components of a marketing campaign. We teach learners how to build a successful marketing campaign and conclude the week with a highly developed marketing report, that learners can transfer directly into their workplace.

- Taking offline marketing campaigns online
MODULE 3
DATA-DRIVEN
MARKETING: CHANNELS,
INSIGHTS, & DESIGN
In this module we cover effective multi-channel marketing through
email, social and video and paid campaigns. We teach learners how
to use AI tools to become more efficient data-driven marketers and provide the essential skills needed to evaluate, analyse and optimise the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns.
Over five days, we deliver:
- Social media content creation
- Search engine optimisation
(SEO) - Website design & management
- Email marketing
- Leveraging marketing AI tools & platforms
- Creating professional marketing reports
- Training dates will be confirmed once you start the apprenticeship.
- Delivery is fully remote via classroom training.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English and Maths (grade A*-C/9-4)
