Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Have you finished your education and unsure what career path to go down? ESP Utilities are offering an Apprenticeship to run alongside working full time as a Data/Pricing Analyst. You will undertake study to achieve the Data Technician Level 3 apprenticeship over 18 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities. This is an amazing opportunity to learn and develop your skills while getting paid! The role is based on site in Leatherhead, Surrey with the working hours of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. This means you will have your evenings and weekends to yourself.
The role will involve the following:
• Production of quotes for asset acquisition using financial models.
• Liaison with customers and our internal Account Managers to enable quote provision and acceptance.
• Handling customer and internal queries around AV quotes and ESP’s asset adoption processes.
• Managing quotes using Dynamics 365.
• Management of accepted quote contracts.
• Producing standard reports and analysis to support quote creation and approval.
• Regulatory and fund reporting where required.

- Source and migrate data from already identified different sources.
- Collect, format and save datasets.
- Summarise and explain gathered data.
- Blend data sets from multiple sources and present in format appropriate to the task.
- Manipulate and link different data sets as required.
- Use tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Apply basic statistical methods and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Apply cross checking techniques for identifying faults and data results for data project requirements.
- Audit data results.
- Demonstrate the different ways of communicating meaning from data in line with audience requirements.
- Produce clear and consistent technical documentation using standard organisational templates.
- Store, manage and distribute in compliance with data security standards and legislation.
- Explain data and results to different audiences in a way that aids understanding.
- Review own development needs.
- Keep up to date with developments in technologies, trends and innovation using a range of sources.
- Clean data i.e. remove duplicates, typos, duplicate entries, out of date data, parse data (e.g. format telephone numbers according to a national standard) and test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity.
- Operate as part of a multi-functional team.
- Prioritise within the context of a project.
