Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Multi Skilled Apprentice working with in many roles and areas within the facilities, including, Fitness room, Font of House, Operation set up/clear downs in meeting rooms and sports halls and Cleaning.
Service Development
- Promote a positive member journey and experience that generates compliments and helps retain members
- Interact with members
- Aid retention target of fitness members through consistent delivery of the EA NOP/CSOP Standards
- Book members in for appointments on the MRM software
- - Support the centre's work towards Quest, IiP, ISO 14001/45001, 18001 and other awards
A safe, secure, clean, well maintained facilities that are accessible and inclusive for all.
- Ensure your shifts start on time
- Wear uniform as per the company standard
- Check equipment is fully operational
- Maintain stores in a clean and tidy condition as per the storage plans
- Turn lights and air conditioning off in areas not in use
- Complete cleaning and maintenance in accordance with the Normal Operating Procedure (NOP) and sign off the relevant cleaning and maintenance schedule
- Ensure all energy reduction actions are undertaken on a daily basis throughout your shift
- To follow Emergency Action Plan procedures at site
Offer a warm and friendly welcome every time.
Deliver a customer experience that generates customer compliments.
Listen, value and respond to all comments made by customers.
- Greet customers positively and make them feel welcome and at ease (Smile, Welcome, Eye Contact and Enthusiastic, Listen and Learn Names)
- Ensure that meaningful interaction is given to customers and recorded via Single Customer View (SCV)
- Undertake and promote Group Exercise and Personal Training as fitness based solutions to customers as well as online options
- Undertake and promote appointments in line with the company NOP's
- Create an environment where the customer receives an experience that generates customer compliments
- Deliver a customer experience that generates customer compliments
- Have knowledge of the facilities programme
- Respond to comments in a positive manner and put systems in place to prevent reoccurrence where possible.
- Support other departments within the centre as needed
At the Grange Community and Leisure Centre you will be studying towards your Personal Trainer Enhanced Apprenticeship Level 3 Standard over the course of 15-18 months.
