Summary
AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Apprentice– Transformer Assembler on behalf of our client based in Stoke-on-Trent. For over 35 years they have been designing and manufacturing single and three phase transformer products for customers all over the world for companies such as Mitsubishi, Siemens and Toyota.

2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x 30 minute lunch break.
Friday: 7.00am to 1.00pm

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
• Read and interpret work orders to determine materials needed and assembly instructions
• Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly
• Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical parts to correct defects and ensure conformance
• Confer with supervisors to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems
- Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring or instruments
- Frbricate or form parts, coils, or structires using drills, calipers, cutters or saws
- Paint structures as specified, using paint sprayers
- Assemble elecrical systems or support structures and install components, subassemblies, wiring or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

- Full training will be given in order to achieve the L2 Lean Maunufacturing Apprenticeship Standard
- Training will take place on and off-the-job
- Off-the-job training will be during normal working hours
- Functional skill maths and/English if not already achieved at GCSE grade 4/C or above
