Summary
North East Powder Coatings, part of Impress North East are looking for a level 2 paint powder coating apprentice to work at their facility in Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to a variety of components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our stringent quality standards.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply powder coatings to components using electrostatic powder coating equipment
- Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, including ovens and spray booths
- Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, and masking
- Ensure components are coated to the correct thickness and finish, adhering to industry and customer specifications
- Perform quality checks on coated components, using equipment such as Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurement tools
- If trained to do so, handle and apply a variety of wet paint systems including multi-coat systems
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards
