Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will work toward the Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship with the support of a tutor, whilst learning on the job how to deliver great customer service in the floristry sector.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers warmly and create a positive and inviting atmosphere
- Actively listen to customer needs and preferences to assist them to purchase flowers appropriate to their requirements
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, both in-store and over the phone
- Communicate care instructions to ensure customers get the most out of their flowers
- Serve customers drinks and cake in the tea room
- Keep tables clean and tidy ready for the next customer
- Handle cash and credit card transactions professionally
- Maintain a clean and organised shop floor
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and helpful demeanour
- A genuine passion for flowers and a desire to learn more
- Retail experience is a plus
- Basic computer literacy is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
