Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The typical responsibilities of a conveyancing support role will include but not be limited to:
- Conducting property searches to gather information about the property and its ownership history
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction to obtain necessary information and documentation
- Managing records related to the property transaction, ensuring that all documentation, including hard copy filing, is accurate and up to date
- Assisting with the completion of the transaction, including arranging for the transfer of funds and the registration of the property ownership
- Assisting with the drafting and preparation of simple legal documents, such as contracts and agreements
- Dealing with new client enquiries
- Opening and closing files
- General administrative tasks such as scanning, photocopying etc.
- Other ad hoc duties
