    About this company

Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust was incorporated on 1 May 2016. The communities we serve are culturally rich, ethnically diverse and bring with them real opportunities for integration, social development and community engagement. Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust was born out of the conversion to Academy status of Tinsley Meadows Primary School. Tinsley Meadows is one of Sheffield’s highest performing schools, working within a deprived context and winning regional awards in the national Pupil Premium Awards in 2015 and 2016. As a trust we work tirelessly to guarantee the best possible education for children, particularly those disadvantaged and/or new to English. We recognise that children from disadvantaged backgrounds need and deserve excellent teaching, exceptional pastoral support and the best opportunities to develop as confident, positive and inspiring role models who can achieve their potential. Our driver for the development of the MAT is very much centred on our unwavering commitment to school improvement and the sharing of success through collaboration. We are very lucky to be supported by Birkdale Independent School and one of the City’s most important business partners, Meadowhall Centre. Executives from both of these sectors hold places on our Trust Board. Within Five Rivers MAT there are a number of academies including Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy and Abbeyfield Primary Academy. More will be announced soon. Our aims are centred on three core principles as follows: Success for all. A Centre of Distinction in Teaching and Leadership. A ‘Whole Child’ Focus.
