Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The apprentice will operate within the fitting department, and will competently carry out the following to an efficient and high-quality output:
- Ensure the mechanical and electrical fit outs are completed to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers best practice
- Responsible for providing the relevant Supervisor/Departmental Manager with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary
- Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are followed
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Be able to work as part of a team
- A willingness to learn new skills and work under own initiative
- Keep working area in a neat and tidy fashion
- Clear and accurate completion of all company documentation

- They will spend four days a week in the workplace, and one day a week at St Austell College

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4)
- Maths (grade C/4)
