Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Apply decorative laminates to composite panels used in aircraft interiors
Potting of inserts into composite structures with precision and care
Bond various brackets, equipment, and inserts using a range of adhesives
Assemble and bond components and sub-assemblies in accordance with detailed engineering drawings and specifications
Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and adheres to strict procedural guidelines
Conduct self-inspections to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
Maintain strict health and safety practices within the composite area, ensuring a safe working environment
Operate and utilise various hand tools and air tools in a precise and effective manner
Interpret and understand detailed engineering drawings and procedures to complete tasks to exacting standards
