Summary

Ana & Sons have an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice to deal with all aspects of accountancy, taxation and client relationships. We have a vibrant, fun-filled work environment and we will support the Apprentice to grow, develop and thrive in this Accounting role.

£13,312 a year

Competitive salary between £12,500 to £22,500 per annum, (depending on experience)

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

The following are the core responsibilities of the Apprentice. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks, this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.

Tasks Include:

  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients at all levels
  • Bookkeeping and data entry (including invoice coding)
  • Gain hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage Accounting
  • Handling client queries via email and phone
  • Embrace new challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as required

Course contents
  • Record transactional data.
  • Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
