Summary
The apprenticeship in Dental Nursing is an 18 month government funded course - City & Guilds Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing. The job entails assisting the dentist, sterilising equipment, reception and any other ad hoc duties as may be required.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to practice clinicians.
The role will also require working in other areas of the practice such as:
- Reception
- Dealing with patient queries
- Answering the phone
- Taking payments and booking appointments

After this apprenticeship
- With experience you may be able to move into jobs like team manager, team leader or dental practice manager
