Summary

Coastline has a busy IT department that keeps a complex web of communications and transactions running internally and externally. As apprentice you will learn and support the team with service desk tickets with a view to resolving issues with computers hardware and software and manage expectations regarding delivery of response to all enquiries.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

In the role, day to day, you’ll be responsible for:

  • First line IT software support for all internal customers. Helping to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Any problems you can’t fix yourself you would work with another member of the IT team to resolve.
  • Import and export of data
  • Setup new users, laptops and mobile phones
  • Provision of guidance to users on usage of desktop & mobile applications
  • The operation and administration of the IT help desk, and the identification, prioritisation and resolution of faults
  • Creating reports and dashboards within applications and/or SSRS
  • To be alert to potential breaches to the security of systems and the confidentiality of data
  • Assist in project roll outs as required

All of the above are to be delivered following appropriate training.
