Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

We are looking for a Business Apprentice to enhance our Team at Canugo (with Team being the operative word!).

The business and role is such that there are lots of opportunities to learn more about business in general – with administration being the key focus but very much a springboard to different parts of the business that long-term may be where you wish to place your focus.

You will have the opportunity to engage with different parts of the business and interact with customers and the drivers/workers we have on our platform. The role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills. The work is varied; there are core daily tasks that need completing but you will also experience – and be supported through – those inevitable curveballs that add a bit of spice to a normal working day!

We are looking for a business administrator who will deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive  attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. We are also looking for someone who can show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills and a desire to learn – there is a lot of business experience within the current team and we love to share, support and help the right person grow.

Key daily tasks will include:

  • Onboarding new drivers to our platform
  • Liaising with customers to place and fill their temp driver/worker requirements
  • Completing orders to prepare for payroll/invoicing
  • Recruitment of temporary drivers and workers
  • Involvement in sales and marketing to attract new business
  • Supporting drivers and customers with using the tech based platforms
