Eastover Primary school is looking for an Inclusion Teaching Assistant who will work across Key Stage 1 and 2, supporting teachers within the classroom to enable children to access all areas of the curriculum.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- You will support the development of the children whilst fostering positive relationships with both the staff and the children
- You will support the teachers in setting up and clearing away after the lessons
- You will support the children during snack and lunchtimes and also take part in supervising break times outside and inside
- You will also join in with activities and help to maintain an atmosphere where the children are happy and safe
- Be aware of and comply with safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection policies and procedures.
- Help prepare display, resources and workbooks

- Functional skills in maths, English
- Delivery method of training to be confirmed
- End-Point Assessment (EPA) - in addition to the Diploma, apprentices will be working towards achieving the knowledge, skills and behaviours for the teaching assistant standard. This is achieved on completion of an externally assessed end point assessment
- Learners will need to complete a portfolio of evidence to support this and the EPA consists of the following activities: practical observation with questions & answers, professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence
