Summary
You be trained as a fully qualified BSG Health & Safety Adviser. You will visit construction sites to identify hazards that could potentially harm and cause injury to workers, visitors, the public, or the environment, and highlight breaches of health and safety laws that could lead to fines or imprisonment.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Learn about health, safety and environment law and regulations, how these are applied, and possible consequences for breach
- Learn about how construction companies work, their duties and responsibilities to protect workers, and help to ensure they are adhering to the law
- Visit construction sites to carry out detailed site inspection reports, report writing and communicating with BSG member site managers and senior management.
- Learn about health, safety, and environment law and regulations, how these are applied, and possible consequences for breach.
